Student’s commitment

I, ____________________, openly and willingly agree to engage in the process of preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

I will do my best to participate fully in the preparation process that includes the following expectations:

Attendance Attitude

Weekend and Holy Day Masses Open to learning

Faith Formation classes Respectful of others

Confirmation Enrollment

Retreat days

Confirmation Interview

I am aware that my attendance may be a reflection of my readiness for Confirmation.

I understand that this agreement applies to the preparation process but does not obligate me to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

I also understand that in the spring of my 10^th grade year I will be given the choice to commit to receiving the sacrament itself.

Parents’ commitment

I understand that I am responsible for the faith formation of my teen, but that it is my son/daughter who must discern whether he or she is ready to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. I/we will: encourage my son/daughter to participate in the preparation for the sacrament, participate in the Mass on Sundays and Holy Days. I/we will: support and encourage my son/daughter through prayer and example.
