Mission
|
To offer an educational
experience in which all children can explore and
learn about themselves and their environment.
The curriculum encourages children to learn how to
make their own decisions whenever possible and
appropriate. To provide balanced opportunities
for all aspects of the child’s life; fostering
competence in social, intellectual, emotional,
creative, and physical development along with a
sound foundation for learning.

Infant
Room
|
Our infant room is very child appropriate. We
have a teacher to child ratio of 1 to 4. Each child
has their own crib. In addition we sponsor a very
successful grandparent volunteer program that
provides extra attention and care for your child.
Our providers are very educated on early
childhood education. The Infant room is supplied
with activities that provide and promote large motor
skills and fine motor skills, and eye hand
coordination, that provide a well rounded foundation
for learning. Our staff work with the children on
basic sign language and incorporate it throughout
the day. The children also are read to on a daily
basis.
We provide an iron fortified formula for the
children. However, if your child has special needs
you can bring in their own formula and we will
ensure it is given to them appropriately.

Toddler
Room
|
Our toddler room is a
large spacious room that allows enough space for
your toddler to experience a number of learning
experiences. We are equipped with a number of
educational toys, books and activities for your
child’s growth and development. Your child will
participate in daily art activities and in circle
time as part of a monthly lesson plan that helps
them prepare for preschool. A monthly calendar
showing planned activities is sent home to allow you
the opportunity to be involved in your child’s daily
activities.
We have an outdoor secure play area that is used
when the weather allows. An indoor gym is used at
other times to ensure each child gets daily exercise
and play time. Field trips are taken a few times
each year to places that your child will find
interesting and a learning opportunity.
|
|
Preschool Room
|
The preschool room is divided between younger
children and the older children. This makes sure
your child continues to be in a learning environment
as they grow and develop.
The pre school room is full of a number of
educational experiences. On a daily basis each child
participates in circle time which includes books,
songs, and flannel board stories. The Monthly lesson
Plan is sent home to let you and your child know
what activities are planned.
Large and small motor skills are important to the
development of your child. The young preschool
children will be introduced to name recognition, and
cooperative play. They will work on things such as
paper cutting skills to playing games in the gym
area to help them build teamwork skills and boost
self confidence.
The older preschoolers work on things that are
more appropriate for their age group. They are
introduced to their ABCs, numbers, writing their
name and other things that will help them as they
prepare for kindergarten.

Parent Comments

“We knew we found the perfect daycare when our 10
month old daughter was teaching us sign language at
the end of the day. The skilled staff at Edu-Care
are very attentive to the individual needs of the
children in their care. We know our children
are not only safe at Edu-Care, but learning and
thriving each day.”
Scott and Cindy Happe
“Being a new mother, I began researching daycare
centers and once I found out that there was a foster
grandparent at Edu-Care, I knew I had found the
ideal daycare for our son. The first time that
I saw Xavier and Grandma Darlene rocking together, I
knew that we made the right decision."
Becky and Elie Dubay
"Edu-care has been an important part of our lives
for ten years. All three of our children attended
the center full-time; our youngest is currently in
the pre-school program. It will be a sad day for our
family when our relationship with the exceptional
daycare center end!
Edu-care provides a safe, loving, and nurturing
environment. The teachers are incredible and provide
a continuous learning atmosphere. Our children could
read and write at a very early age and we give Edu-care
much credit for that!"
Kurt and Carol Haakonson
"Our family has been coming to St. Joseph's Edu-care
for almost two years now. What we like most about
Edu-care is that it it not just "daycare" and not
just "pre-school". It always feels like the staff
here care very much for our kids and try to help us
teach our kids educationally as well as them being
loved and cared for. We strongly recommend to anyone
to visit Edu-care when looking for a
daycare/preschool for their kids.
